I would have replied before, but I do not have any first hand experience with the Bulgy 40rd waffle mags.  I do however own the 30's and they are excellent, top quality.  Based on all of my experience with Bulgarian made stuff I can say that I am sure that you won't be disappointed with them because the Bulgy AK stuff is some of the best quality out there.

If you decide to get them and don't like the 40's, ship them to me and I will make sure that they get plenty of use.

The 40s are excellent, just like the 30s.  Actually, I think the "cool factor" is a lot higher.  But they are pricy $$$ as all hell.

Saw some at the show this weekend for $25.  Didn't get any.  For me 30's work just fine.  Now if I can just figure out how 4-30's fit in the pouches correctly and close all of the way.  One does and the other is about an inch to tight.  Gotta figure out how to get it stretched.

Get a LULA. You'll be amazed at how easy reloading is. One of the best gun accessories ever. They are made for AK47 mags and also for AR15 mags.

I have one but I just like loading them by hand it doesn't bother me that much.  I have like 20 mags anyway why should i be complaining about loading them ?  I got a bunch of the Polish mags from Aim Surplus because I'm just a few minutes from their show room and they had some extras for 7 bucks a piece i couldnt pass them up now i have about 15 of them.  I love them.
