I bought a couple of these a few years ago, but have no idea why they were painted black on top. Anyone know where they came from or why they painted them? Just curious. They appear to be used very little

Wow, I never paid attention but just compared them to my others and you are right. I have had them for years and forget where or why I got them.

I have some E German 74 mags with remnants of black paint by the feed lips.
Never gave them much thought |
