I just purchased a new toy and now I need to purchase some ammo.  Which ammo would be the best?  Barnaul 55Gr SP, 59Gr FMJ, or the Wolf 60Gr FMJ or HP.

After reading Obershutze 7.62 results I am leaning towards the Barnaul.

Amunitionstore.com seems to have the best selection, and good prices.  Does anyone know how much they charge for shipping?

Thanks

I like the Barnual FMJ then comes second for me is the Wolf FMJ.

Nest gunshow I will probably pick up a half case of the Silver Bear and try that out.

Barnaul FMJ is good in my Bulgy 74. I have not shot for comparison groups in my SAR2. AStore is local for me/no idea on their shipping.

I perfer the Barnaul over the Wolf ammo.

I get better groups with the Barnaul and it is a little cleaner.

RS39 and I have finished one round of testing with the 5.45 so far.  More to come as soon as we can get together and the weather cooperates.

My 2 cents, I use Barnaul.

Avoid Wolf...
Go Barnaul or Ulyanovsk...

I forgot to take the Uly in the first round of testing.

It will be tested in the second round which will include more rifles.

My rommniun AK74 loves the BAnual 59 grain FMJ.  2" at 100! as for the Wolf, the group size increase to 4"..

Ulyanovsk is a 70 grain, the POI is differnt.. its quite consistant also.
