I've done about 5 AK builds that all went well.  What's different about RPK builds?  Other than a slightly different receiver, are there any big differences?  Thanks.

I'm not a builder but I did have an RPK.  The only thing I can imagine being different is with the front trunnion block.   RPK's are pretty much standard AK's with a longer heavy barrel and beefier trunnion block.  Otherwise, the same.

You might have clearance issues with the barrel if you intend on using something like a 12 ton shop press to press the barrel back in.  You may have to use a hammer to push it back in the trunnion.
