It took me a few Saturdays to complete but it's finally together. I only have 100 rnds thru it, but the good news is it went "bang" and not "BOOM". And judging by the dancing the coffee can was doing 50yds downrange, it seems to be fairly accurate as well.

Here's what I started with...PLO kit

Here's what I used

Here's what finally fell together

I still havn't decided on a finish yet, or if I am going to finish it at all.

Next project is a screw build on a Bulgarian AK-74 kit.

I recommend getting one from anywhere else other than where I got mine.

Is there any other place that is selling the PLO Russian kits other than Joeken?

Florida Gun Works sells them, but their prices are insane. Dracster, I guess it's an easy assumption that you must have ordered from Joeken, and had the same bad experience as others have reported. I'm leery of ordering from them just due to the complaints. Well, that and the very suspicious way the website redirects you about 3 times when you first go there.

It looks real nice, I guess some of the PLO captures were nicer htan others. Yours looks well used, with lots of character, but not flogged and worn out.

The bore is in tiptop shape. The FCG showed almost no wear. The wood is dirty, but not all dented and dinged. The finish overall is a gray park that shows very little wear. To make things even more interesting, the little green sticker on the stock is in Hebrew.

My folder kit OTOH, looks like it was used to shoot at Israelis. The bore is still bright and shiny with strong rifling, but the finish is well worn. The handguards are beat ta hell and very loose. The folding stock is pretty much bare metal.

Try Gunbroker, saw a few PLO's for around 100 a while ago. If you really want one pay the extra bucks and go with Flordia gun works over thos bastards at Joeken.
