It's not paint. It is a dry lube that is applied at the factory. The flaking off is normal.

That's the inside of the "upper receiver" which is anodized aluminum. There is no paint. What you are seeing is dry lube, perfectly normal.

I'm a little worried that you don't even know what the chamber is.
And unless you're running an Olympic Arms... nothing should be "Painted". |
