I ordered a new extractor spring for my stag 2t. the origional spring was only a three coil an had a blue rubber stopper (i am guessing what that blue thing is called.) I didnt use the black "O ring". The spring took a little force to get in. After using my fingers for a few it just snapped in. I hope I did this right.. Any sugesstions?

For inserting extractor springs I found it best to turn the spring in the direction of coil rotation to get it started. Then flip over the extractor, and press the spring against a hard surface to “snap” it in place.

The addition of the Crane o-ring might be over kill for now. I use mine, you might want to keep yours for later.

The “blue rubber stopper” is referred to as the extractor spring insert.

Well I didnt twist the spring but it did snap in to place.. Man was it a tuff squeeze getting the extractor pin in to secure the extractor to the bolt.. Thank you for answering my question.
