Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Dewy cleaning rod length for M4 16" barrel?

For the 16" barrel AR is the 24" Dewy cleaning rod ok?  It looks like it might be to short to use from the bolt end.

Coated rod or not?  Can the chamber guide be used with the coated rod?

Length: measure your rifle from FH to end of receiver (24” is too short)
Yes, get a coated rod
Yes, a chamber/ bore guide can be used with a coated rod (I do)

Thanks for the input Alan.  I have ordered the 30" nylon coated AR15/16 kit, can't wait for it to get here, I orded the breech guide/ the works.  Would like to clean it up good before first firing, it is a new RRA Entry Tactical.http://www.deweyrods.com/cgi-bin/ccp5/cp-app.cgi?usr=DEWEY70763&pg=prod&ref=M16&cat=M16_AR15&catstr=HOME:M16_AR15

I have the Dewey rod 22C-36 and its perfect for all upper lengths. I would also grab the M16B guide while you are at it.
