Was thinking about a single point sling attachment for my 6920.
I noticed that the castle nut is staked inplace. Is there anything special about removing this nut ? Or, should I just go ahead and force it. Thanks

Yes,
Just make sure that the wrench is on tight, the receiver is backed up, and put some ass in it. To add, depending on what spanner wrench you have, you may find that a band tool will give you a better bite without maring the castle nut. |

Funny you ask, I will be doing just that to anther one of my 6920's today. A little advice, get out a drill and drill into the two staked parts on the castle nut. You only need to drill a small amount, just enough to remove some of the excess material from the staking process. After this, you will not need to apply much force to break the castle nut free.

Put your lower in a vise, put the spanner wrench on squarely and smack the wrench. A deadblow hammer is best. The shock will break it free with relatively little pressure.
