I got a detent from a member here and decided to put the AR back together and now I ran into a problem.  When I lock the bolt back then hit the releasethe buffer retainer and spring are sent into the fcg.  I do have a bent spring because I put the bolt forward without the stock on and bent it.  I don't know if that would cause it, because it was fine before.  What could be wrong here?

is your buffer tube screwed up far enough, to where it's holding down the buffer retainer?
