Everyone has a different definition of a KISS rifle/ Budget Build. There may be many like it but this is mine. This is my first AR build so I thought I would post it here. Total invested $860.00 less mags and ammo.
PSA Premium Upper 5.56 blem
PSA Premium Auto Mil Spec BCG chrome lined
MPI, Carpenter 158, shot peened bolt
16" M4 1/7 Chrome lined MP barrel with Carbine gas system
Midwest Industries SSG2 12 rail
Daniel Defense Iron sights (I like these a lot)
BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 charging handle
RRA stripped lower
RRA std LPK/FCG (surprisingly very good trigger feel for the standard parts!)
BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 grip (excellent value!!)
A2 stock and buffer
Magpul MOE trigger guard
Vickers VCAS sling
Can of Paint.
Weighs 6.9 lbs less ammo and is well balanced. She runs great on all kinds of cheap .223 to heavy 5.56 ammo with decent groups for a budget gun. I think the Carbine gas system with the A2 rifle buffer system works really good. PSA makes some good budget stuff.
