You are probably better off just buying a new barrel or not worrying about it. With barrels around and under 150$ right now, it probably won't be economical.

not so cheap to just buy another barrel as I want to do this on a 24" SS bull barrel. I'll have to look around but don't know if I could swing a new bull barrel. maybe in 20" instead of 24"

I'll email them again but back when I asked them last year the said no. they can do 223 to 5.56, but no wylde! |

Check Lother Walther, They have a 20" Wylde Var-Tac with bolt in stock for $369. Just ordered mine.
