Thinking of changing the A2 upper on my 9mm AR to a flattop upper. Question is how tight do I install the barrel nut, I know on a regular AR you can get it tight and then line the gas tube up so it will fit in the groove of the barrel nut. I'm guessing I should just get it as tight as I can. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

IIRC 30-80 ft lbs. is the correct spec. So I'd just be sure it's in that range and only worry about timing the barrel nut if you're installing a rail that uses pins to align it with the upper.
