Should you be able to hand tighten the FH on the barrel most of the way, or is it normal to need a wrench to get it all the way on?  I started threading a Phantom onto my new barrel and about one turn in it stops, and I would rather not force it on and ruin something if this is incorrect.thx

You SHOULD be able to thread it all the way on until the phantom makes the crush washer touch the shoulder on the barrel.
Then you will need a wrench in order to crush the washer and bring the phantom into alignment.
