I would recommend a good quality tactical light.

You could also upgrade your optics to EOtech or Aimpoint with a BUIS later on.

Not to sound stupid but what is a BUIS? Love the Eotech but the $ is crazy. The optics are Nc Star- I know very cheap but I have put almost $1500 + into the gun already. Planning upgrading in the future though. I have a surefire 6p that im waiting on a pressure cord for the forward grip and the mount. I also have the rail covers on the way.

BUIS is an acronym for Back Up Iron Sight. Too bad they removed the acronym tacked thread at the AR Discussions forum.

That's good that you're getting rail covers too.

I'm using TangoDown panels and Magpul ladder rail protectors, they fit great on my rails.

Good luck.

Dose anybody know where I can find pics of an AR15 refinished all in - desert tan - OD green or dark earth?
I would like to do a total custom job on it but I would like some feedback. In addition, what do you think of the multi color deal- example desert tan Stock, black upper & lower, desert tan forward grip & quad rail covers? Sounds nice but I wish I could see it. I do not know tell me what you think, I it is stupid let me know. If you know, a person that dose good paintwork and I do not mean crylon let me know.

I am waiting on a new gas block and im ordering a EOTech next week. The white band on the rail is only to keep the rail together. I will probably make some changes to it . You don’t really know what its going to look like until you are done. The only thing I am not happy with is the green bbl.

Just my opinion, but I would have left it as is.
Nice AR though.

I like it better with the black upper and lower. Did you just paint over the tan and green?

No I re sandblasted everythingand I do mean everything. To do it good it takes alot of prep time. Now I know why it cost so mutch to have done by a gunsmith.
Anything with teflon on it (upper on a bushmaster) has to be sandblasted all the way down.

OK, looks good to me either way. Nice work!

Nice work!!  I also like it better with the black upper and lower...but then again I am in the new and acute stages of BRD, so anything black is quite appealing to me.
