All of my rifles w/ lo-pro gas blocks have set screws.  I use red Loc-Tite on them and have not had a problem.

Also, if your barrel does not have corresponding grooves you can clamp your gas block in position and drill two small indents so that your set screws will rest in them and avoid any risk of the gas block ever moving.

What are your thoughts about the screws vs pins?

Setscrews put into divots are all you should ever need.
It's easy to locate the diviots, just install the gas block into the proper position and tighten down the set screws.
There will be little circles when you remove the gas block.
Center punch the middle of each circle and follow it with a 5/32" drill bit.
You only need to drill until the full diameter of the bit is cutting, no deeper.
The divot does not need to be any deeper than 1/32"
Add loctite if you wish, but don't bother with pinning it, that's extreme.
