Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - FSB removal.......empty taper pin hlose OK?

I want to try and go with the low profile PRI gas block w/set screws.  This way I can use the Troy CQB suprsr.  Is it ok to just leave the taper pin holes empty or should I plug them back up with the taper pins and mill them flush w/ the barrel?  It's just a structural integrity question.. they'll both be covered by parts so I won't see them anyway...  Thnx

The new gas block will cover them, and the holes won't weaken the barrel any.

Thnx much M4.....   I've got a Commmando setup now and I plan on getting the PRI w/ a midlength FF tube from YHM.  That TROY CQB suprsr will recess back inside the FF an inch....... very SD-ish.   Do I have to cut a flat spot in the barrel for the set crews or no?
