I need a lower for my  24inch Varmint upper. RGUNS has DPMS A2 forged lowers for $199.00- is that a good price?

Sounds alright.

$100 for a lower.
$50 for a LPK.
$50 for a stock.

If you can pick it up locally (seeing as how you're in IL) you'll save yourself a transfer fee and shipping which could easily add up to $50 at least.

Make sure that they have it in stock, and will ship the same day as ordering (read put a very short time line on how long you will allow it to take to show up at your door, and if it doesn't then they have to cancel the order (read make sure that they do not charge your CC until the items ships to YOU to save on having to deny CC payment threw your card company).

More than a few people have had problems with items being back ordered due to them not having something in stock, and have waited a very long time with the item prepaid.

A point on lowers.
It is required that the lower be shipped to a FFL dealer.  You can NOT have it sent to your door.
This will neccessitat a transfer fee from the dealer.
Much easier (and maybe cheaper) to get the lower locally.

Around here, a DPMS stripped lower is about $120.  $40 for a stock,  and about that for grip.
