Some ads for this stock say it includes "extra" push button parts to be quick-adjust for no-ban use, does this mean it can be set up in a fixed position to be PostBan compliant for those of us in NY and other backward states?

Yes. See that larger hex screw at the bottom of your image (the one not for the butt plate) That's what you use.
Taken from my SOCOM instructions:
To set up stock for "post ban" use, unscrew the "adjustment button" socket cap screw. Remove said socket cap screw, slide tobe and spring. Next, install the short .5" socket cap screw (included) and tighten it down.

yeah that allen head screw is to make it adjustable and not collapsable


but the included instruction states that this is not batfe approved yet so if your still in a state that doesnt allow it then this is still not ok to do

i too bought this stock before the ban died and read the instructions and was dissapointed




eta: there is a postban compliant m4 socom stock that looks exactly like it but is not collapsable and is one lenght and one lenght only.

Well last time I checked, the BATF ban is no more. If all the NY State law says is that the stock has to be non-collapsible, then he should be fine.
