I am going to get an M4 type AR, but was wondering if I should build one, or buy one already made.  I'd like to keep costs down, and use new parts.  What are everyones thoughts on suppliers, and on whether I should build it, or buy it outright?  Also, how much should one cost?  Thanks for your help.

build it with an RRA lower and a model 1 sales kit.

I built 3 'no ban'.  All M4s.  One A2 upper, two flattops (to someday pass on to my sons - I get to play with them until then).

I used J&T kits for all.  The A2 I put on a RRA lower.  I had about $625 in that one.  The flattops were on Stag lowers, but I have no rear sights or optics (yet), and about $585 each in them.
