How can I remove a welded Y comp on a Bushmaster 14.5" barrel or can I? I know it has to have another extension of some kind welded back on but I'd like to get rid of the comp.

Send it to Kurt's Kustom Firearms (see the industry forum on this website).  Kurt removed my Mini-Y comp and installed a great looking, great functioning A2 style muzzle brake.

Kurt does excellent work, I bet you'll be happy with whatever he does for you.

Do a search.  This has only come up every day or two since the ban ended.  Lots of good info out there.
