I read somewhere and saw a pic posted of an AR lower receiver someone built from sheetmetal.  I thought about getting an 80% lower, but they are more expensive than buying an Eagle Arms complete!

I do want to build my own and work at a metal fabrication shop, so that's the way I'm going to go with the build.  If anyone here did that or remembers where they saw the post, please let me know.

Thanks.

Closest I can come up with is this one www.geocities.com/elmgrove1765/project6/project6.html  Its not sheet-metal but is screwed together out of plate aluminum (or maybe steel?  don't remember offhand)

I know there are a buncha ways to make AK lowers out of sheet-metal, but I haven't seen a sheet-metal AR.

Thanks for the link.  Now that I have the blueprints, I can start altering them to make mine out of stainless steel and make it formed/welded together.  Maybe by next winter I'll get the thing finished.

Glad to help [:D]

Be sure to keep us updated (with pics, if possible) on how it turns out.

I remember drooling over User556's scratchbuilt receiver (has it BEEN 2 years?) a while ago.

I finally get back and he's got blueprints.
