Anyone ever use an SP-1 Lower to built an M4? If so, how'd it look? I'm at my wits end trying to get a legal all preban M4.

If I ever get my M4A3 upper from Bushmaster (going on 8 wks now) I plan on putting in on an SP-1 lower.  I doubt that the finish will match, perfectly.  However, are there other functional issues that you are aware of, or are you just concerned with appearence?

I don't like the large hole/small hole conversion pin.  Cosmetic has a part in it too.

Understand!  I've been toying with the idea of getting my SP-1 lower refinished to match the upper, but I think I'll wait to see if the AW "Ban" law sunsets.  If it doesn't then these lowers (attached to orginal uppers) will probably double in price.

Your right about the large pin/small pin issue.  It's somewhat of a pain.
