Does anyone know of a forum topic already discussing this unit?

I'm trying to find out the going price for one of these. I've heard
that if you can find one to buy, that's it something you should pick up, especially
if you plan on getting set up with night vision.

Let me know, thanks, -Rob

$2000-$2600

paq's are cheaper $1200-$1500
(they have only the ir laser, not a ir illuminator, but you can add a ir illuminator seperate if needed)

I wouldn't use it for at least a year or two
Is it something I should buy now while I have the chance?
Or is it going to jump in price, or go down in availability?

There are less expensive IR lasers but if you want a combination illuminator and laser it about the only thing you can get on the open market right now.  If I were you I would get the NV first and then worry about a laser.  I mean if you dont have NV how woudl you know if there was even a problem with your laser?  It would suck to get your NV in a year or two and turn on the laser and it didnt work and you could not tell because you could not see it without NV previously.

I know the person who is selling it and have actually used this unit before. So, I know
it worked, although who knows what could happen, and 2 yrs from now,
I turn it on and get nothing...

Personally, I'd rather save my money for other purchases, but if
it's recommended to buy it now, to avoid a cost increase in the future, or
lack of availability, then I'll buy it now while I still can get it....

So, I guess the question is... if I wait 2 years, will I still be able
to purchase the same model (or better) for the same price?

The paq's are an older design, no?

also, I'm wondering where you can find peq2's for 2000-2600?

If you can find a PEQ right now for less than $1600 in good, working shape, I suggest you buy it. If I could find any more legal PEQs at that price, I'd be all over them.

I sold my last PEQ to a LEO earlier today because ITI can't build the damn things fast enough to make them available to anyone aside from the .mil.

But then again, I'd rather have a DBAL, or a SLAI-IR...

DBAL, or a SLAI-IR... what's that? another brand/model?
Got any comparison info?
