I have decided to upgrade to a hard case for my AR, plus maybe a pistol and some accessories.  Anybody got a setup they wanna brag about, something to suggest?  Am looking at the Pelican series.

Now that is pretty cool.  Does the foam come with the case?  Cost?  Hard to cut out to shape?
Sources?

Sorry Cavalry99 not trying to hijack your thread.

Thanks for the info.  The 1720 looks good also.  I wonder if it would fit a MK12 MOD0 clone with the Magpul PRS, 18" Barrel w/the Ops Inc Brake.

Not a hijack at all........

I was just interested if there were any alternative setups to one of the extremely pricy Pelican jobs.   So much wasted space in a standard rifle case with a M4gery job.

+1 for the Pelican 1700.  I got mine from CopsPlus for $135 delivered but don't know if they still have that promotion.

They are a little more expensive than the Pelican Cases but Harding Cases are even sturdier.  They are stronger and have a better latch system.   I have used both and prefer the Harding's.  They are waterproof like the Perlicans and have a vent button for when flying that lets you release any built up pressure inside the case without having to open it.

As already noted above, StarLight case are sturdier and less expensive than Pelican.
