Does anyone know of a good rubber recoil pad (not slip-on), for the standard A2 stock?

You can get these from Brownells.

At the risk of sounding nosy, do you really think you need a recoid pad for your .223/5.56 AR?

I agree with the prior post.  Disregard the recoil pad for an AR.  There isn't enuff recoil to justify the expense, unless your just looking for more add-ons for your AR...be careful!  That is a slippery slope into gagetry!  I know of whence I speak!  Next thing you know, your looking at all kinds of accessories many of which are USELESS!

My gun box is full of purchased and discarded "Add-ons"  I thought I needed!!

The longer I'm into ARs, the more simple I like them.  There is a beauty and definite functionality to the basic set-up from the factory. Gee...I wonder if thats why they designed it that way.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info, and you aren't being nosy. I was asking on behalf of a friend of mine who is looking at purchasing a bushy varminter afer seeing how accurate by bushy A3 target model is.
