Here is the set up I had.

After using this set up for a while, I had some issues about it. So, here is what I did. I had an old quick adjust sling that was collecting dust at the bottom of my safe. However, it had screws bidding together the ends in loops. With a knife I removed one end from the old sling and attached it to the GG&G RSM with the CQB quick detach placed in the loop.

As you can see, the idea was to allow the weapon to be removed from the sling with out going through a lot of trouble to attach it and the sling around my not so slim torso.

I can imagine that this might help some of you guys who are carrying an extra load of girth, weather it is fast food or equipment like vest and such. That's all I got. If you have any thoughts or ideas about the effectiveness of this, I am all ears.

Similar concept to a "quick release" sling I make for my shooting friends (all of which tip the scales at over 225 lbs - Fat Boy Club :>)

I think your sling design is a good idea. It allows the shooter to disconnect the weapon from the sling without having to remove "the sling" from the shooter (like my Single Point "Fat Boy" Sling on right).

Thanks for the tip, I have the exact same setup.  This is something I will try.
