Elcan, no. mark 6, yes. I own Mark 6 and shoot an Elcan regularly at work and I really dislike the Elcan. It has poor eye relief compared to the Mark 6 and I don't think it is a true 1x.  The mark 6 offers a clear and wide FOV at 1x as well as offers more magnification. Another cheaper option with great 1x performance is the Trijicon TR24.
