so if you are using an illuminated scope that has a magnification that doesn't go low enough to use inside, could you close the objective lens cover, leave the reticle illuminated and use it like and occlusion scope?

Yes, as long as you dont have the problem of closing one eye

k, thanks.  and no eye closing problem.  but i am cross dominant.  shooting pistol at the range gets some weird looks.
