I am interested in purchasing this sight as a do all scope for a 6.8 AR. I would like to know how the illumination works, is there any ghosting or does it wash out the field of view in low light. can it be used as a red dot during daylight. Thanks

I have one on my 3 gun rifle. Illumination is no good in the day if it's bright. Overcast is ok.

If you turn the illumination all the way up in the dark, it can wash out the field of view a bit, but that's when you just dial it down to a lower setting. As far as being daylight visible, like the other guy said, not so good when it's sunny. The newer versions do have brighter illumination than mine though (mine is 2 years old), and there is an off setting between each number on the illumination control, which is nice.
