As long as the forend's top rail is "A3 height" as almost all of them are, then yes, it will give you absolute (dead center) co-witness.

What about an A3 upper with a Barska or Simmons red dot mounted in front of an a2 style rear sight?
Would that allow for the use of those at the same time? RS |

Also, what is the difference between the red dot sights that are like a scope and the ones that are just a screen? |
