I "know" that most people (omitting the color blind) prefer red ACOG reticles when compared to the amber, which to me, a user of Eotechs, TAO1 and Aimpoint, I can say I like red.  However, I have never used an amber reticle and would greatly like to see pics of the amber against brown/tan targets and in a desert/sandy environment.

I live in AZ and am curious to how "real" the reports of amber's uselessness when it comes to my type of environment, for I know some arfcommer's "go with the flow-ism" some times taints real experience.

BTW:  I have looked at New-AR-Guy's pics in the tacked picture thread, as well as archived as much as I could.  The old "Views through whatever"....thread does not work anymore.
