I have an M4 sized RRA flattop with a quick release aimpoint on it.  I'd like to be able to swap to my Leupold compact 2x7x32 scope for shooting off the bench at the range.  I have the Troy BUIS which lays down pretty low.

Anyone know what height rings I should get?

I have a few pictures, but not a website to hosts them.  I can email them to anyone who can give me an informed answer on what rings I need.

Thanks.

The Warne Ultra High were made for the AR.  They should put the center of the scope about 1.4" above the receiver.  (This is same height as the highly touted LaRue and Armalite one-piece mounts.)

I've got some Warne Ultra Highs...they live up to the name, that's for sure.  They're every bit is high as a set of ARMS high rings, if not a hair higher.

What's the objective of that scope...is it less than 40mm?  You're probably ok with Warne high rings...the Ultra Highs are high enough to easily clear an ARMS 40 BUIS, if that helps you guage how high they'll put the scope up.  It is MUCH higher than the Armalite mount...there are some folks here who think the Armalite is too low...and I'd never say that about the Warne Ultra High rings.  I'm not sure about the LaRue, but I could check when I get home.  The RRA mount is very high, though, so it's about on par with that one.

Zimm, you can get a free account at villagephotos.com that will allow you to host a few pix.  I did that for a while, but then finally ponied up $5 a month.  Bastages just changed the way they determine bandwidth, so I had to go up to a whopping $6 a month lol.  Well worth it now, but the free account worked for a while.

Thanks for the info.  I ordered the high rings.  It's only a 32mm objective scope (compact model).  Hope it fits.  If not, I'll exhange it for the extra-high ones.

You should be fine with those.
