I've had my heart set on a ACOG TA31F since I got my AR, but now I think I'm falling for the taller and more slender TA55. Yeah, she's a little more money, but I think she's worth it. This wouldn't be considered cheating, would it?

Have you handled one????
Thats one big ass honking chunk of aluminum to pay that much and get 5.5x performance. We're talking 25.6 oz versus the TA31F's 9.9 oz. |

Its very heavy. To give you an idea, eight of the ten SIRS that ARMS make weigh less than a TA55.

it isn't worth it... if you want more mag. get a scope.... an acog's purpose is quite illistrated by the ta31 and ta11 series...

WOW!!! Not 1 positive response. Thank's for all your input, and for keeping me from making the wrong commitment. That's it. I'm breaking up with TA55 and going to try to get back together with TA31F. I hope she takes me back!?!?

i have a friend operating a SPR in country and he dropped the US Optic SN4 in favor of the TA55. He loves the sight and have been getting great result with it. solid, robust and clear optic, even faster on target then the TA31 since the higher magnification cause the BAC to kick in better for CQB cave work.
