I use compact low power scopes on a Mini Ranch and 16 " AR. A Leupold 2.5X20 on the and a compact Burris 4X power . I believe the parallax is set at 75 yards on these but I have'nt had problems shooting 150 yards or so. The leupold has a heavy duplex reticle wich I prefer over the thinner reticle on the Burris.

No complaints out of either one. The Burris edges the Leupold in late evening shooting (for me anyways). Both offer a nice field of view.

I purchased the Burris used on E Bay for $116.00. The Leupold was about $175.00 when I bought it new. I've been meaning to see if Burris offers the lighted Ballistic Plex reticle in a 2.5 or 4 compact. That'd be a nice set up!

I'd be looking at the less exspensive Fullfield II or Compact. I see they offer an LRS ballistic plex in Fullfield II 3X9X40. nothing smaller in fullfield II or compact though.
