A buddy of mine bought an Armalite scope mount, the one piece one; nice scope mount by the way, I have one. Anyway he bought a 30mm mount but ended up getting a 1" scope. He asked me whether there was some kind of adapter that you could put in 30mm rings to allow the use of a 1" scope. I looked around and all I found was one designed for IOR scope rings, so I am not sure it would work with another type of mount. Anyone know whether there is a 30mm to 1" adapter and if there is, is it any good, or is he just stuck with a 30mm mount that he has no scope for?

Oh thanks guys. I will look at the Brownells and ARMS mounts and get one of them. I am surprised at the ARMS rings having sharp edges. I would have returned them. The few ARMS doo dads I have are very nicely made!

I looked at the ones we have form ARMS and they have a chamfer to them to avoid doing that.  We have not had a problem like that yet and hope we never do.
