Just got a new ML2...Is it normal to not be able to see the red dot until it's turn on to #4 setting?  Cannot see the dot from #1-3 and #4 is still really dim...#5 and higher are okay nice and bright.  I have the old COMP ML XD that shows a red dot in all setting even the lowest level.  

Do I have a defective ML2? The scope and box are marked "ML2".

THE LOWEST SETTINGS ARE FOR VERY LOW AMBIENT LIGHT LEVELS, AS IN NEAR DARK. YOU'LL SEE THE DOT FINE THEN.
