Hi all,
I am currenlty looking at getting a flattop upper with an ARMS #40 and mounting a red dot. Although I plan on getting something better later on, right now I have an OKO laying around that I plan to use. Has anyone done this setup and/or have pics? Does the front iron sight sit in the lower 1/3 of the sight picture, or will I most likely need a riser to get the OKO high enough. Thanks in advance!

For absolute co-witness you would mount it directly on the flat top.
For co witness in the lower third of the lens (which is my personal preference) you will want to use the SC-4 QD protective cover. Here are some pics of co-witness with the SC4 installed.

And for the record, I would be a slow speed operator as paper BG are pretty slow to fire back! Just like to have a hobby with expensive toys, ya know? Red dot is also good for the days when my eyes just don't want to focus easily on the irons.

"Medium Speed Operators: Death From the Middle" was a sig line I had for a while as a joke...unfortunately some people don't have a sense of humor, and didn't quite understand the context, so I removed it.
FWIW we have been using the OKO competitively for roughly 4 years now in 3 gun competitions around the country. We have been the US importer for 3 years. I personally have an OKO-M on my mid-length rifle, and an OKO-8W on my SST-870 shotgun. We've all been very happy with the OKO sights.
