Both models use a different-plane aperture. The standard #40's small aperture is cut at the top and notched slightly for use as a 600m sight. The #40A uses the standard (uncut) A2 aperture.
The only same-plane aperture is the one from XS Sights (formerly Ashley Express/Ashley Outdoors/AO/whatever-the-hell-else-they're-calling-themselves-this-week). -Troy |

who sells the XS rear aperature (without that gigantic 10 MOA wide front post)? i'd like to try one but have no need for the front sight...
