Have post-AWB prices for AR15 mags bottomed out yet?   If not, how low do you think they will go?  I plan to buy a few more every now and then because (A) you can't have too many and (B) as an investment in case of another ban.

I don't think mag prices will ever be below $10 again.  I think they have come down as much as they are going to.

+1 on the election next week.  Get out and vote for the Republican of your choice.  And if for some reason Kerry was to win, I think you will see the supply of lowers dry up.  Or the prices will go way up.  Mags too.

I am still waiting for the AR mags to flood the market like everyone keeps saying they going to.  If/when that happens I would be surprised to seem  them much below $10.00 unless you buy a large quantity.

used mag prices would depend on how motivated the seller is to dump them,
but for new I can't see them ever being below $10 or even $12, as a rule.

In 1994, mags from busmaster for their FFL dealers were $9.50,IIRC
and that was 10 years ago.

Forget lower prices, are we ever going to have suppliers able to keep them in stock?  I'd like to be able to buy how ever many mags I want from ONE place instead of going on an internet scavenger hunt every time I want to buy a USGI mag for ~$12.

Exactly. You have to allow for a little inflation over 10 years.

Back in 1995 I was able to pick up 20 new GI surplus mags manufactured in 1991 by Okay for $9 a pop.  I can kind of kick myself for not getting more at the time but I figured 20 would hold me and the ban would eventually end.  Well the ban ended but not here in New York.  I am tempted to order a quantity of the post-ban mags I have been seeing at $12 each and have them sent directly to a friend in Florida for safe keeping.  At least I would have them just not possess them in New York.

I predict that they'll go as low as a Dollar Three Eighty!

I think the prices will drop more once other companies start making mags again.  Once companies realize there is a big demand for USGI style mags, more will become available at cheaper prices.  However, I doubt new mags will go lower than $10 each, and I would guess the lowest price you will see on used mags will be around $6-8 each.

And that is why I believe the price will stay where they are or even climb a little higher.  Supply and Demand.  People are going crazy buying everyone they can get there greedy little hands on.  (me included)  Until the fever slows and no ban in sight the price is just about set.  Now, the places on the internet that are still trying to sell mags for $25-30 a mag I just have to laugh!  They will never recover there money if they bought them for what we can buy them now.  No one in there right mind would pay those prices.  Unless of course in the case of a new ban.  My $.02

"One dollar Bob! One dollar!!!"

Seriously wholesalehunter has NIW USGI mags for $10. Probably the cheapest they will ever be.
