TBBC is the king, in my humble opinion. I have it loaded behind cfe223, I think it's 27gr but don't quote me on that and know it's beyond book max charge, so normal disclaimers apply. It matches factory m855 velocity from my 10"
Monolithics tend to do well through barriers. TSX is a great bullet in all .224 weights. The optimized 50gr bullet is a hammer when it comes to defeating barriers but I don't believe the bullet is sold for reloading. The 62gr and 70gr pills are available as components and are GTG, albeit expensive. |

I had a bunch of 62gr Fusion over run bullets I got from RMR years ago. Still have a bunch and a bunch loaded and squirreled away.

The Barnes .224 TSX is available for reloaders in: 45, 50, 53, 55, 62, & 70 grain weights The Barnes .224 TTSX is available for reloaders in: 50, 55, & 62 grain weights Now whether you can actually find anything in stock right now is a whole nother issue, but Barnes does make the stuff. At least they did, with the sale of the company to Sierra, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. |

70 grain barnes tsx pushed by 25.2 grains of ramshot tac lit by a cci 450 primer in winchester brass gives me 2860 fps out of a 16 inch carbine. Pretty tough to beat imo. Standard deviation on a 10 shot string was 13, and 1.5 moa accuracy.

I use federal trophy bonded bear claw in my7mm-08. It’s a pretty hard bullet on deer.

Any bullet that is commercially available and used by a manufacturer as a barrier blind bullet can be loaded into a similar load. The one thing you will have trouble duplicating with a factory duty/defense barrier blind load is the low/no flash powder the factories typically use. Besides that, you can generally replicate the performance of factory loads so long as you’re getting the same MV.
Bullets to use are the Federal Trophy Bonded Bear Claw (TBBC), Fusion JSP, Terminal Ascent, Edge TLR Barnes TSX and TTSX Hornady GMX Nosler AccuBond and AccuBond Long Range Etc. Basically anything that is bonded or copper monolith (all copper) |

I've personally never used cfe, as I stocked up on tac a long time ago. Ive heard good things about it, and it should be a good match for mid and heavier bullets in 5.56. |

Bonded, solid, A-Frame. The old tech Partition 60gr or most Aframe styles will work well.

The Nosler Bonded Solid Base 64gr is a great Barrier Blind bullet as well.
