What's the highest y'all will pay for a case of Win.Q3131? We have a gunshow coming up and I really want to buy a case of m193!!! I'm down to 620 rds! Don't tell me to buy Wolf beacuse that's already what I use fopr plinkin'. I want these for stash only. Or should I wait for the prices to come down a bit? I've often wondered whether or not this will happen(probably not)seeings as how many places are starting to carry these rounds again, that's why I haven't gotten the case yet. What does arfcom think?
Thanks,

Ray

Last weekend at Dallas Market Hall Q3131 was going for about 8.75 +tax for a box. Thats about $450  1K. Good stuff but over priced. I would wait.

Like I always say

If I got to PAY then its going to be BLACK HILLS 75gr/77gr OTM

I paid 400bucks for my last case of BLUE 75gr OTM KISER

Midway Flyer had it listed for around 430 bucks

Thank God I saved up some M855/SS109/M193

See,that's what I'm screamin' about. I remember paying 3.99 a box for 3131. What I wanna know is: Should I buy a case now or wait a few months? I don't mind buying ammo to shoot up and all,I want a price(a good price on 3131's).

3131 was already more than I was willing to pay when I got serious about setting ammo back at the beginning of this year. Does it have to be 3131?  I have settled on HSM 5.56-17T (75gr TAP clone) for my SHTF round.  So far, reviews have been favorable, and I have had no problems yet. If you have any type of FFL (C&R ) you can still get it for only marginally more than Black Hills blue box 75gr.  The brass even has this neat little circle cross thingamabob on it that increases stopping power 2000%.

One place (the cheap guys) were selling HSM "factory seconds" .223 for $150/500.

(They also wanted >$200 for 1K of Golden Tiger, but that's another matter.)

Gixxer,
I don't think anyone has a crystal ball as whether you should wait a few months.  In my opinion, if you want/need M193 and price is an issue (which it sounds like it is) buy some of the current manuf Prvi for $320 per k from Wideners (315 per k if you buy 2). I just checked the AIM site and didn't see that they had any left, and Wideners has sold off about half of what they got in a couple weeks. From what I've been hearing it might be a little bit more accurate than the Q3131 anyway.
I honestly think prices are NOT coming down on anything, just slight adjustments due to supply and demand. I believe they will continue to rise due to increased costs of everything from metal to shipping, and the value of the dollar isn't helping. Politically we might get fucked anyway. This next year might be our last opportunity to buy ammo PERIOD if Hillary makes her way in .  The trick is to find who's got the best deal on whatever at any given time. Bite the bullet, and stack it deep IMHO.

Price isn't really an issue,I just don't want to buy a case and see the prices go down a month later. I've got plenty of m855 and down to about 6-7 hundred rds of m193. I guess I'll just bite the bullet and buy a case tomorrow.

Hey Freebear, I hate to beat your outrageous price on XM193 at the Phoenix show,
but Saturday at the Pasadena Texas gun show there was also a single 500 round case of
XM193 for 249.00. I pretty much wasted my time going to the show, I did buy a couple
of nice 5.56 ammo cans and I got to fight the crowds in the aisles, that is always fun.
