i am confused if this stuff will work in my 16in carbine?

also is there a diffrence between otm and hp?

or are the two unrelated??

In a word, yes.

OTM= Open Tip Match, commonly used to refer to the Hornady match bullets, but really applies to most "HP" type precision bullets, inlcluding the Sierra Match King (AKA: SMK) and Nosler versions.

Generally not the same kind of hollow point that you find in handgun ammo, as the "open tip" of the match rounds has more to do with how the bullets are formed, than with its expansion or fragmentation.

Yes they will stabilize.  OTM and BTHP are one in the same.

68 grain Heavy Match HPs   work well in my 16" 1x9

thanks guys

i read the oracle it was kinda vauge on the 1/9 twist

the reason i asked was the black hill blue box said that

you need a 1/10 twist  to use thease rounds

I shoot BH 68 grain heavy match as well as PMC and BH 69 grain Sierra Matchkings quite well from my 16" chrome lined 1/9.  Groups were 1 moa or better at 300 yards.

1/10 is a slower twist than 1/9.

1/9 = 1 complete revolution or twist in 9 inches.

It will shoot the 68/69 bullets.
