Sportsman's guide has 55 gr, .223 ammo Remington UMC for $4.17.  Is that a good deal?

Beacuse they have direct dealers there or something and they don't want there to be competition between them and the website.  Something like that, correct me if wrong.  And on the Remington UMC, $4.17 is a little pricey but not out of line depending on location.  I have shot a bunch in the past and never had a problem.

Wal-mart, yeah I know they're the devil, sell the same stuff for $3.97/box + tax around here.

Do you have a friend or family member in a neighboring state you could have the Natchezss ammo shipped to?

Natchos freight has always made buying ammo from them Cost prohibitive for me.  They have good prices, but for some reason the freight to AZ always More than negates any potential savings.

+1. I have abandoned many shopping carts due to their high shipping rates.

Funny - that's usually why I dump shopping carts at Outdoor Marksman...

Which just goes to show it is often cheaper to buy closer to home.

Indeed!  I can live with Outdoor Marksmans rates.  But BOTH SHOULD BE BANNED!

I'll give the evil shopping village a shot (no pun intended).  I tried the BassPro Shop this weekend and they only had some expensive flavors of .223 in stock.

I've found that Wideners($27 for 2K 5.56) shipping is much less than OMC($38 for 2K 5.56)to my location.
