SG's ammo prices skyrocketed... anyone else notice this?

Just checked, indeed the price has gone up a bit. They have being holding a low price for quite a while, guess they have to "get with the program".

DAMN, I just ordered another 1k Sat, that was close. But man it went up a lot. Thats why I signed up for the stupid club membership was ammo

40 S&W CCI Blazer aluminum went up 2 bucks/box. ouch!

Wolf 9mm went up about 1 dollar/50.
All the 9mm went up. Wolf 223 and 7.62x39 went up as well. |

Most places went up lately from what I can see. A few weeks ago I ordered from AIM , then called back to add to my order, said I was lucky I called back as they were raising prices 10 bucks on the RG following monday. I think we are in for ammo inflation. Glad I stocked up when I did.

Holy shit last time i ordered 7.62x39 from SG it was like $75 per 1000 for wolf and $99 for .223. They both jumped $20-$30 per case. Damn this sucks. 5.45x39 is also up $20 per case.

The price of fuel always has a huge impact on the prices of other goods, as everything has to be shipped, usually multiple times. Plus, with so much of the domestic production of ammo going to WoT-related uses (not just military contracts, but also local LEO departments who have received WoT funds for enhanced training and such), a shortage has been created in common military calibers across the board. It looks like Wolf 9MM went up $5/case and 223 $15/case since I placed my order on Friday. SG has been out of my favorite Olympic 9mm 124gr for over 3 months now. They just cancelled my 4 case back order last week stating the distributor will no longer be able to supply it. Wolf buckshot was even on back order for about 6 weeks in early spring. As my good buddy DPMMN says "Buy it cheap, stack it deap!" |

This is a major bummer. I just got 2K of XM193 in the last two weeks and looking at the ammo prices I was going to order more today. Oh well, timing is everything.
