I've got a Dillon .223 headspace gauge.  Is this ok for checking my bulk packaged commercially reloaded mil-spec 5.56 ammo?  Thx

Headspace guages dont check ammo.  It is used to determine headspace in the bolt and barrel extenstion, and it is better to use a USGI 5.56 field guage to check headspace in an AR15.

ETA, yes if it is a case headspace guage it is ok to use on a .223 round.

If this is a case not a chamber headspace gage then yes you can check loaded 5.56mm rounds. The differences between .223 and 5.56mm are in the chamber so the 5.56mm cartridge can be loaded to a higher pressure.
