I'm still confused a little on the differences .:(

with this colt barrel marked(C MP 5.56 NATO 1/7) it's ok to shoot 5.56 x45 and .223, but one marked .223 will only fire >223 remington?

the ammo orical helped , but still left me with questions.

It will still fire the other but has a tighter chamber thus producing higher pressure when a round is fired.

will it take the pressure or should I stick to firing .223?

I've heard  arguments both ways but I personally shoot only 223 in my varminter. Better safe than sorry.
