I stopped off at the local Bass Pro shop to ask when their next big sale is and the guy told me August 7. I hope I remembered that date correcctly. If it's anything like last year, win. q3131a 223 was CHEAP!! Dont make any big ammo purchases until you check out their sale.

This place was Hanover, MD. Check with your local store for dates.
Yep, looks like the Fall Hunting Classic runs from 8/7 to 8/15. Last year they ran Q3131A at $2.88/box and had case lots available.
WOO HAAA
Missed the last one, will not make that mistake again! |
Be sure to have it added to the Internet Ammo Price tack, is the store only or do they think it will be on their website?
Yes, that si correct. Last year I bought a whole case. Saddly, though, I never fired a single cartridge of it yet. |
Here are the DATES for the Bass Pro Fall Hunting Classic, running from July 24 to August 29 at different stores nationally. Unclear how this will affect on-line pricing.
I've added a note to the Price List for Bass Pro Q3131A as a reminder and will update as we receive more info. |
tagged.. i think i got a little space left in the ammo locker.
Nice thing is, Galyans will price match plus 10% of difference.
Schweet............... Also, here is the schedule of the sales. |
BPS in Orlando, FL had the sale last year on Q3131A. I bought a few cases last year. I hope they do it again this year.
I guess it is about time to plan a trip down to the Orlando store , it is only 2 hours away .I'm sure I can find other things to do in Orlando to make it worth the trip I might even let some friends know and make it a group buy . Would sure suck to get pulled over on the way back though they might see all the ammo and think there is something wrong with me . Oh I forgot there is according to my exwife she said I had to many guns and enjoyed shooting them to much .
Anybody know if they put the Q3131 on sale again this year? How much?
HELL YES!!!!!!
Time to go spend some $'s at BP! Anyone want to meet up? |
Also remember, that state to state differs in ammo sales at BP. You better all call them before you go there. This is a fact.
Are you thinking hometown group buy of sorts?
If so I'm in. Hell I'm in any way.
In a group buy, I'm so far up in it....we'll look at my....
BP is going to be a long drive I'd rather not take. |
Figures, I just bought 500 rounds of XM193. Oh well, I guess another 500 or 1000 rounds won't kill the bugdet
From a post by Reuben on subguns.com:
it started today in georgia I bought 80 boxes of it, the clerk looked at me like I was crazy.
So there's no limit on how much you can buy? I could use about 10,000 rounds of it :) |
The rest of the dates around the country can be found in this thread. BPS AMMO SALE DATES
I picked up 2000 rounds for $305 and change. Q3131A. Nice! HS1 |
Like I'd said, don't forget that Galyans, and some others, will price match at 110%, which can drop the price to $2.77/box if the other store is normally $3.99.
Pretty good price. |
I've never seen Q3131a at Galyans. If we go to one of these Bass Pro shops, do we pickup the flyer and then take it to Galyans? |
Both if the local Galyans here have 3131A on the shelf. I picked up a K last year when BPS had the sale.
All I did was tell them (Galyans), and they called BPS to confirm. There is about 125 miles or so from my Galyans to the BPS in Ohio. Galyans made the l-d call, and said no prob. Good guys. |
Anyone score at the early sale locations???
Haven't heard anything much. |
I just bought 1K rounds for $2.88 per 50 today in Nashville - and it didn't make a dent in their stack. Don't know how many boxes they had or if they had more in the back - but they had 1000s of rounds of it on the shelf.
I think he meant to type $2.88 per box of 20. I picked up my 1,000 rd case of Winchester Q131A today for $144 - $154.44 with tax.
Darn, I was hoping I could find an excuse not to drive to Springfield MO next week (160 miles).
DFW BP is out of .223. I bought up the last tonight. They only had 85 boxes left! They will give you a rain check though. I think the sale ends at this location on 8/8.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quoted: By the way, don't forget that Gaylan's will match Bass Pro Shops and then give you an additional 10% off. Last year, I took the bass pro flyer and went to gaylan's. They matched the price, lowered it by 10%, and then gave me a $75 gift ceritficate since I spent more the $300. That was a perfect storm of bargin hunting. My effective rate for a box of 50 9mm was around 3.30 ... very close to reloading cost. Oh, they had no limit of the number of cases I could buy ...... I filled up a shopping cart with ammo (roughly 8K rounds) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I went last thursday to Town Center Commons and picked up a case. The guy at the register said, "Sir, your total is $256.XX" and I repied with "RFA". Three more times he put in the correct data of -$2.11 and the screen would roll over to the beginning. He grabbed a Register Wizard and she took two swings at it. On her third go the data took for $144.00 and she then placed in the 10% difference that she worked out on a calculator. The young man told her to sign his copy of the xaction and she walked away. My total was $99.75! I asked him if he wanted to do another 1000rds and he said, "No, I know you recieved a larger discount than you were supposed to". I agreed and we both smiled. For a total of 7 data entries that turned out to be a nice 10% discount. Dave S |

The downside of living in Texas, they were cleaned out of Q3131A in less than 24 hours. They have more coming in though.
You got lucky, when I was there at around 10am the computer showed they had a case (50 boxes) in inventory but they couldn't find it anywhere and all that was left after I came through was the loose 20rd boxes on the shelf |

Dates for the sale:
www.basspro.com/servlet/catalog.CFPage?pageID=339&cmid=TC13&cmid=HPRC1_4 Looking forward to it. |
Stopped by the store in Concord Mills, NC today.
They had sold all their cases the first day of the sale (yesterday?) and only had loose boxes on the shelf. I was bummed until I realized there were over 100 boxes there They all left with me The only thing left for the rest of you guys is Rain Checks at that store |
I had the same problem at the NC store. Only 39 boxes when I showed up. "0" when I left. Oh well, I would liked to have more, but this willl do for a while...
I bought 2000 rounds this morning, but it was all in individual boxes - no cases. At the Ft. Lauderdale store.
Sorry about that, I asked the guy behind the counter for ten cases, and he said he only had four. I took them and decided to leave the loose boxes for someone else |
