My local range says "Full Metal Jacketed bullets WILL NOT be fired at any metal targets anywhere within the Park."

I get the distinct impression they're worried about damage to club-owned targets.

What exactly is the definition of FMJ?  Is something like copper-plated lead a "full metal jacket"....?

I think they are worried about your typical FMJ or FMC.  Soft point, hollow point, and ballistic tips are probably still ok.
