Been a while since I could surf here but was wondering what ever became of the super duper 100 grain ammo for the .223 that Tat and others tickeled us with about a year ago.

I just talked with the guy at HJ and he has got a 135g 223 that is frangible.  I am waiting for a couple of test rounds to see if it works.

... I would too, seems at those weights they could be way off SAAMI scales. Don't like experimenting with high pressures on my ARs.

They could tell you, but they would have to kill you first.

he is working on subsonic and supersonic loads. I do know from talking to him that he is not opposed to compressed loads...
I do know that his subsonic stuff(.308/.50)is being used in SWA right now.

I dont understand why they try to make a 223/5.56mm into something its Not?

They are attempting to give the AR's biggest advantage, it's frangible bullet, longer legs. This way the round will continue to tumble in flesh out past 150 yards.

It's not super secret as some here claim.  It's common knowledge that Black Hills is working on it.
